A walk into the past

A walk into the past...

Chinatown Heritage Centre... was there for my TLM tour (didnt go in)... back again yesterday cos my uncle from HK is in town and they wanted to hv a look. So we paid for the admission tix and slowly made our way to the past....

Opium days.....

Sam Sui women living cubicles

Kitchen and toilets.... the left cubicle is for the "big & small biz", the right cubicle is for shower... shower cubicle is so small, i dun think there's much space for movement. Prolly juz raise ur hand and wash ur hair that's all.

For those who have no idea who is sam sui women or the tiny cubicles pple used to live in... u shd really go and have a look and experience it urself.

(for those who watched The Maid, it's kinda scary lar.. hahahz! Eeeeerrrrreeeee staircase..... dark corridors......)

*grinz* Nevertheless, it's highly recommended!!! POSB/DBS card holders, u onli need to pay $4 for this enriching experience! After the tour, u can always hv ur lunch at the restaurant next door for their Porridge. Traditional interior design shop house with a touch of the good old days. Porridge serve in chicken bowl, ice water serve in those old days glasses... Other den porridge, they also serve SEXY Fish, rice, noodles, etc.

The walk down chinatown after our lunch was an eye-opener too! Many interesting shops for us to explore and it's realli like walking back in time... Hmmz.. my nx visit?? maybe to Little India?? hahahz...
